Over 150 cyclists enjoyed good company and free breakfast on Friday, May 31 at the sixth annual B.icyclist A.ppreciation B.reakfast at Y.ale (B.A.B.Y.)!
Besides lots of carbs in the shape of mini chocolate chip muffins and croissants, attendees were given free black t-shirts and coffee mugs emblazoned with the “I Bike New Haven” logo.
Both the Yale and New Haven cycling communities were invited to attend. “We had a great turnout. It is an affirmation of how much bike culture the New Haven Community has,” said Holly Parker, director of Sustainable Transportation.
Many of the cyclists who stopped by were either commuters, recreational or hard-core riders. Because of different schedules, they don’t often get to co-mingle. This event gives them that chance.
