Diane Turner heads regional United Way campaign

Diane Turner’s belief that the strength of a community can only be measured by how all of its members fare led her to accept an invitation to serve as the chair of the United Way of Greater New Haven's 2009 annual campaign. Encouraging support for the community fundraising drive — in which University faculty and staff have participated for decades — is a cause close to her heart, she says. As campaign chair, she is determined to help area companies and universities successfully reach this year's goal of $5.2 million. Turner, associate University librarian for Human Resources, Organizational Development and Community Relations, recently spoke to the Yale Bulletin & Calendar about her work for the United Way.
